2008 was nothing short of an uprise for Athens local beatmaker/PCJ in the music scene. Having played all over Athens and spreading through out Georgia and the rest of the southeast states, t8r(tot) has shared the stage with notable acts such as Dubsconscious, Entropy, Djunya, Jansten, Heyoka and Boombox to name a few.
With more shows and festivals already booked and in the works, 2009 is already lining up for smash for the producer. After struggling in the music scene for a couple of years as a percussionist for various bands, t8r(tot) simply was fed up with dealing with other band mate’s fickle scheduling and constant battles for dominance in the athens music scene. So he decided he would do the music that was always brewing in his head on his own. after receiving some helpful tips on the digital music making genre and a few “hand-me-down” programs, he practically locked himself away with his newly found gadgets and his computer and the music just poured out.
“There’s always a musical score going on in my head that is the soundtrack to my life, and my goal is to share that with you all.”
t8r(tot) will dj inside after the comedy showcase Friday night.
